Ian McGowan
Managing Director

Ian McGowan is the Founder and Managing Director of Barrier Networks, one of the UK's fastest-growing cyber security managed service providers. He has over twenty years of experience designing, delivering and auditing complex infrastructure across most industry sectors. His areas of expertise include security operations, incident response and secure system architecture. Ian has worked in financial services, government, defence, manufacturing and energy sectors, and is familiar with the specific challenges that these environments present. He has represented the UK as a SCADA Security SME and as a CSIRT Trainer in international cyber security simulation exercises. In addition to his work at Barrier, Ian serves in the British Army Reserve as a Cyber Security Officer.

Nick Hensley, CISSP
Sales Engineering Manager, Global Channels

Nick Hensley heads up our Global Channels business from the sales engineering side. Nick having held
his CISSP since 2002 is a seasoned Information Security Professional. He has written articles for
penetration testing magazines and was a contributing author on the book “Unified Communications
Forensics: Anatomy of Common UC Attacks”. He has managed a penetration testing team and led the IT Security and Compliance group for a billion-dollar organization. Nick’s experience covers a broad range of industry positions; from MSSPs and Security Consulting to Forensics and e-discovery roles - all relating
to various Information & Cyber Security domains, or as he would say under the Security Umbrella.
